Wealth Empowerment Initiative, Inc.
is organized exclusively as a charitable organization defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization is established to inspire and equip individuals aged 17-54 with the financial education and resources necessary to achieve economic independence and secure their financial futures. By offering tailored programs and fostering a supportive community, we strive to break down barriers to financial literacy and empower individuals to take control of their economic destinies.

MEET THE BOARD
Patrina Dixon
Executive Director
Patrina Dixon is the Owner and CEO of It$ My Money, a Registered Financial Consultant, Certified Financial Education Instructor, Licensed Insurance Agent, and two-time #1 best-selling author. For nearly a decade, she has taught personal finance and entrepreneurship through workshops, a blog, podcast, YouTube channel, and a local TV show. Her work has been featured in Black Enterprise, Yahoo Finance, Real Simple, FOX 61, Experian, and Business Insider.
Patrina has educated thousands across the U.S. and internationally, partnering with schools, corporations, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to promote financial literacy. She also supports entrepreneurs by curating grant opportunities, hosting live trainings, and building a thriving small business community.
She is a graduate of the University of Hartford, holds a Financial Management Certificate from Cornell University, and completed programs with Goldman Sachs and Jax Bridges. Beyond her career, Patrina is a wife and proud mom, dedicated to helping families and entrepreneurs build wealth and lasting legacies.
Kelli Byrd
Secretary
Kelli Byrd is an accomplished HR and operations professional with over a decade of experience in recruitment, employee engagement, and organizational development. She has led full-cycle hiring processes, improved employee retention, and implemented training and onboarding programs that drive performance and strengthen company culture.
Currently a board member of the Wealth Empowerment Initiative, Kelli uses her HR expertise to support financial literacy, career advancement, and economic growth in underserved communities. She combines a strong results-driven mindset with a commitment to service, helping both organizations and individuals thrive.
Outside of her professional career, Kelli is a Christian content creator and entrepreneur devoted to faith, wellness, and self-love. Through scripture-based affirmations and motivational insights, she empowers women of color to strengthen their relationship with God, build wealth, and walk boldly in their purpose.
Dr. Brandon Maurice Frame
Board Member
Dr. Brandon Maurice Frame is a professor of Social Emotional Learning at Sacred Heart University and the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of TheBlackManCan, Inc., a nonprofit amplifying the brilliance of Black men and boys. His organization has reached over 15,000 individuals through programs and cultivated an online community of 1 million followers with 8 million monthly impressions.
He is the co-founder of #hiphoped and the author of Define Yourself, Redefine the World: A Guided Journal for Boys and Men of Color and the children’s book My First Tie. His leadership has earned recognition including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award, BET’s Next in Class honor, and NY1 New Yorker of the Week.
A graduate of Morehouse College with a doctorate from Boston University, Dr. Frame is dedicated to mentorship, education, and cultural empowerment. His mission is to create pathways for the next generation to thrive through excellence and service.
